Human and Biomedical Science Summary

This vocational course gives students a broad understanding of biological principles which underpin medical science. The course content covers human anatomy and pathology, health issues, scientific reporting, practical microbiology and infectious diseases.

How you will study

Unit 1- Principles of Human Physiology, Anatomy and Pathology – External assessment (25% of the qualification)

Unit 2- Health Issues and Scientific Reporting – External assessment (33% of the qualification)

Unit 3- Practical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases – Internal assessment (coursework) (25% of the qualification)

Unit 5- Biomedical Science – Internal assessment (coursework) (17% of the qualification)
