Wilsthorpe Sixth Form is a full-time Sixth Form. All Sixth Form students are required on-site for the majority of the school day in order to maximise independent study hours, alongside attending lessons.

All students attend one tutorial session per week which is arranged in advance with their tutor. Students must sign in at break time on any day when they do not have a tutorial session, period 1 or period 2 lesson. Students are permitted to leave the school site during lunchtime. After lunch, all students must stay on site to attend their compulsory lessons, or utilise their independent study time until the end of the school day.
