Wilsthorpe School has secured Department for Education funding to demolish the existing Sports Hall and Sixth Form and combine these in a brand-new, purpose-built facility. Kier have been appointed as the chosen contractor for detailed design. Building work is targeted to commence in summer 2023, with completion scheduled for summer 2024.
The facilities will provide a Sports Hall, fitness suite and changing facilities, as well as a brand-new base for our growing Sixth Form, with designated study areas with IT facilities, social areas and classrooms. It is envisaged that the building will be available for community lettings out of hours.
